Blessed! More Than We Ask For
I pray that Christ Jesus and the church will forever bring praise to God. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine. Amen. Ephesians 3:20, 21, CEV.
No Signal. Input Not Supported
While doing my “Live a Life of No Fears” blog last week my computer crashed. It turned off itself and flashed a “No signal. Input not supported” message on the blackout screen. I tried to turn it on several times but it leaves me the same message displayed on the screen. So I thought this maybe God telling me to sleep and reflect more on what I just wrote. I slept, it was 3 am.
With all the goodness and graces His blessings come. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine
That morning I told my mom about the computer. She told me she’ll ask our technician neighbor to fix it. The computer was not fixed that day. The technician told my mom that the problem was with the motherboard and it really needs some fixing.
Jesus Is Planning A Resurrection
Last night as I sit in front of my computer table facing a blackout screen, it leaves me no choice but to take time off finishing the blog and just reflect.
I remember the story of the death of Lazarus and how the Lord brought him to life. This is one of my favorite Jesus miracles, here goes.
In the Bible, Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha and Jesus were good friends. When their brother got sick, the sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him that their brother Lazarus is not well.
What could be Jesus reaction if he’s not God. He may have immediately packed up his things and left for Bethany where Lazarus lives. But Jesus is God. The Bible says that when Jesus heard about Lazarus sickness, he just said, “His sickness won’t end in death. It will bring glory to God and his son.” He never felt any need to hurry. He even stayed where he was for two more days.
What the sisters thought of healing, Jesus is planning a resurrection. And Lazarus was brought into life.
Problems Are All Temporary
We all have Lazarus in our life. It could be our deteriorating health, our financial difficulties, unhealed past experiences, broken relationships, our job, our boss. They are all sick and soon may die. But our God is a God of impossibilities. When we pray for healing, He’s planning a resurrection. He’s conspiring with the entire universe to exceed what we as asking for.
When we pray for healing, He’s planning a resurrection
Friends, all our Lazarus are temporary but the goodness and graces of God will continue to flow on and on and on. More than what we asked for, more than what we hoped for and far more than what we prayed for. God will pour on His blessing like rampaging waterfalls. It’s packed down, shaken together and spilling over. With all the goodness and graces His blessings come. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine.
Our part is to trust Him with all our heart and switch over from an attitude of fear and doubt to an attitude of faith. God is working behind the scenes. He’s planning a resurrection.
In HIM,
Jobie P. Doblado
P.S.
An attitude of faith is best expressed in what comes out of our mouth. So instead of speaking about your problems, speak to your problems. Everyday declare, “This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.” When you make it a habit to declare Faith Words, soon your mind and heart will grab hold of the truth, and it won’t be too long before you are walking in the abundant life God has prepared for you.

Just when I’m thinking of a repaired PC, God gave me a laptop. A Toshiba L510-B400 laptop! God is really good! Thank you Jesus!
